Democratic Republic of Congo

Both arabica and robusta are traditional export crops here. Now specialty production is bringing new investment, interest and hope to the main growing region, the Kivu provinces. As the country’s largest coffee buyer and exporter, ofi offers high-quality fully washed coffee and organic cascara, produced at our seven washing stations. Our deep focus on quality means farmers are rewarded with higher premiums for their efforts, which supports their livelihoods.

Making a better tomorrow

We care about working responsibly within the coffee industry. Coffee LENS (Livelihoods, Empowerment and Nature at Scale) drives our sustainable coffee sourcing vision. It sets out the ambitious goals we aim to tackle by 2030 with the help of our partners. So we can help farmers, communities, the climate and the living world. And we’re happy to share that we’ve achieved a number of 2021 milestones, as published in our first impact report. Please have a read to get an idea of what can be done.
